Musical Instrument

I was feeling super bored the other day and so was Emerson so while he took his nap I did some research on the Family Fun website. Just reading about the projects made me feel like a better mom! I got all inspired and made him some toddler-friendly alphabet fridge magnets and a little musical instrument. Of course we didn't have any plastic cups...so I just used plastic bowls instead. Then I took it one step further and let him decorate it with stickers. He carefully placed all the little circle stickers practically right on top of each other so there was this big blob of stickers in the middle. But boy, was he proud. It was so worth the time it took to make this (around 30 seconds) because he loved it so much.

And since I heart Family Fun now, I added a link on the blog.

Wow, you ARE an amazing Momma for just checking that website out!! I'm TOTALLY impressed :) And that video is too adorable, I love that he "shakes" on demand!

I love that he shakes side to side instead of up and down. So cute!! Cute idea!!

I love how he uses his whole body to shake. And that twirl around is pretty amazing, too. You can tell he thinks it's pretty cool, and he is also cool while shaking it. I wish I could have seen him carefully applying the stickers one on top of the other.

Um, yeah... he's cute. Have I told you that lately?

I may just have to go check out Family Fun. I've never been on there. Does that make me a terrible mom? Probably. :) Sadie's version of something to shake is the Mac and Cheese box. Poor kid. I suppose I should find my inner domestic mommy and make her something cute like that so she doesn't have to resort to shaking processed food items. :)

He's so dumb, and yet so proud.

Creativity in action for both of you! Who knew it could be so rewarding?? He is such a doll and quite serious about the whole experience, isn't he?
