What's the best thing you could possibly do on a Monday night? (Besides family home evening of course...) Go to the Celine Dion concert! I'm just glad that Joni's husband Rocky was selfless enough to give his ticket up to me. I know he really wanted to go. :) I pretty much pried it out of his hands.
After battling traffic for about an hour to get there and walking about 20 miles to the Schottenstein Center, we arrived! We showed the usher our tickets, and we knew they'd be pretty bad seats since they were free, but we didn't realize how bad until we saw his reaction. "You head up this row and...oh..well, why don't you just wait a little while and I'll see what I can do for you." Our patience was rewarded. He hooked us up with a guy that gave us seats on the 14th row! It was sweet. We had to battle some obese old guy to let us get to our seats, and he was pretty unhappy about having to stand up (maybe he should swallow a tapeworm like Kelly on The Office...) and reprimanded us as we walked by about not arriving early enough. Oh well, Celine probably doesn't heart him like she hearts me.
The actual concert was GOOD. She's quite the performer. Aside from a few freaky outfits, a weird man/woman dancer (I'm not sure which), and the hour long wait in the parking lot afterward, I quite enjoyed it. Thanks for tending Emerson, Ben, and letting me act like a teenage girl again for a night.

Actually, she is Canadian. Can she still get away with those outfits by your standards? Don't ask me why I know her nationality.
Wow Scott...that's scary that you know that. I corrected it. Maybe next time I'll take you with me to the concert.
owww... look at those legs. i am still jealous about the concert. your house looks nice! it looks like ben's birthday went well. sorry we couldn't be there! call me if you are bored with ben studying or anything tomorrow during the game. mike is going with his dad so i might go shopping or something. and emerson looks super cute in the swing. he is so tiny!

What a fun concert! When I read about this I obviously asked Daniel why he hadn't mentioned that they were giving away FREE tickets and his response was.."well, I thought you wouldn't want to go." I of course then withered to the floor and told him that I had missed an opportunity of a lifetime ;) Jk, but yes, that looks like you guys had a blast!

That's fun. I hope when I'm 40, I can look half that good--except in normal clothes... That obese man made Trent laugh when I told him the story. Maybe that man could go on the cleanse diet or something, too? If he did, I'm sure he'd look AMAAAZING in a new size 2 bikini (or speedo). :D
It actually wasn't a tape worm. But either way, she needs get down to a size two to fit in to her new bathing suits. Oh and I am totally jealous about the concert. She may be crazy, but she's got some pipes.
Casey and I saw Celine in Las Vegas and paid a bucketload of money to go -- it was awesome by the way -- but you are sooo lucky to have gotten free tickets!
