Banana Lovin' Fool
I have a love/hate relationship with watching Emerson eat. On the one hand, I'm so proud of him for being able to feed himself and I LOVE not having to sit there and spoon feed him. On the other hand, a lot of things about it make me cringe. Like watching the big glob of yogurt slowly make its way down his chin and not knowing whether it will seep under the bib or drop onto the bib and make its way into the nifty pocket. Or watching him shove an entire half of a banana in his mouth and pray that he chews before he tries to swallow.

Oh my gosh, that picture cracks me up! Josh does the EXACT same thing, especially with the banana! It always freaks me out. I swear he tries to eat the entire banana in one single bite! Drives me crazy! By the way, Emerson is so stinkin' cute! He's so big!

i didn't know about your hot water issues....you know you're welcome to shower at our house anytime....amanda actually did the other day when she locked herself out! ha ha! PS...how did you shave in cold water??? did you shave off the tops of all your poor little goosebumps?! ouch!!!
Aw, cute banana-filled cheeks! Sadie does the same thing even though I cut her banana in slices - she just stuffs 3 or 4 in at a time. :) And I feel the same way about watching her eat. It drives me crazy to sit and watch her toss her food all over our carpeted floor, but I also know I shouldn't hover. It's a lose-lose situation!
I know what you mean, watching the mess and trying to restrain yourself from "helping" him attain his own little victories!! I think it was your mom, (otherwise known as Grandma J,) who insisted she have a wet washcloth folded neatly beside her plate at the table at all times to wipe her face and hands!
hahaha, I can see myself having those same thoughts when I have a child... in like 5 yrs...I'll definitely have to come to you to ask how to handle the love/hate relationship of food eating :)

My very part about the banana eating is that when he very first puts the whole thing in, his little mouth stretches so far out as hard as it can! It is so cute!
HAHA! Sye does the same thing! It's so funny.
