Kennedy Space Center

After we left our luxurious boat, we had an entire day to kill before we could fly home, so we spent the day at Kennedy Space Center.  We were eaten alive by mosquitoes...ya know, since Florida is all marshy and swampy and stuff.  I remember when I was a little kid when we were vacationing there that you aren't supposed to get out of your car if you get in an accident because the gators will get ya.  So while we were driving around, I kept my eyes peeled for gators.

I saw little puddles of water after it rained and that one seminary video with the gazelle and the shallow puddle of water with one of the general authorities' voices (Pres. Packer?) telling a story popped into my mind.  I couldn't help thinking of that gator that lunged out of the mud and ate the gazelle, practically whole.  Does anyone else remember that video or am I just crazy?

I digress.

We were off the boat so early that we had to wait at the gate for KSC to open.  Here I am being a little bit crabby about the mosquitoes.
We entertained ourselves by making these stupid optical illusion pictures.  We were laughing hysterically at ourselves.  It was fun to be so carefree and laugh so hard with Ben.

 Pretending to be an astronaut
 Some part of a spaceship...

 Touching a moonrock!  Jealous?

We had a great time, but were so exhausted that we went to the IMAX movies at the end just to take a nap.

I always tell Sy I will NEVER live in Florida because I'm so scared of gators. Glad you didn't get eaten (by the gators...I guess the mosquitoes got you)

I thoroughly enjoyed your photos! (I even laughed out loud) My optical illusion photos never turn out. You must teach me your skills!
