New guest bedroom with a new twin bed. (We got rid of a lot of the junk and rearranged a lot of things.)
IT'S FINISHED! We've been doing some home improvements that we actually finished a long time ago, but I just haven't gotten around to posting pictures. Remember those pictures from a long time ago of the new bathroom floors and how we painted the baseboards white? Well, I took some friends' suggestions and tackled the whole house while I still had time to enjoy it. For like 5 or 6 weeks I painted during every one of Emerson's naps and after he went to bed at night. I knew it was a huge job, but I didn't realize how huge. I started to get a sore shoulder. :( It was crazy how much paint and primer the doors alone took! Ben helped with the painting, but laying the floor was his huge job. We did the floors with our good friends and it took a little longer than we expected to do both houses. I must say though that both of us are happy with the end result, and we finished everything before we had visitors. I don't know what to do with all the extra time and lack of paint on my hands! (Oh wait...yes I do....I have a precious little beastie named Emerson that takes up all available time.) Anyway, we really like how the white updates the house. That brown just didn't quite do it for me.

I love it!! It looks so good! See, you don't need me to come out and do it for you! Although, I would love to come out just to see you. :D
WOW it looks so great! You need to do a little before/after action so we can really appreciate all the hard work. Can't wait to see it in person. Nice job both of you, I'm sure you'll appreciate it for the next 3.5 years!
looks great! nice work.
Everything looks really nice! I bet you'll enjoy it even more because of the the work that you personally put into it. Way to be dedicated with that paint job! Nap time is precious time, and you gave up a LOT of that... and now your house looks awesome! Enjoy.
