A Trip to Utah
Last week Ben and I had to unexpectedly fly home to Utah for his Grandma McMullin's funeral. We were sad to have to go home because of that, but were also happy to be able to see our families. Grandma's funeral was very nice, and it made me very grateful to have the gospel because we all know we'll see her again.
We flew out on Sunday and Ben flew home on Wednesday because he just couldn't miss more school than he already was. I decided to extend my stay to the following Sunday (just to get my money's worth, you know?...) So I got to spend a lot of time with my family because it was UEA weekend so my siblings were all out of school (except Scott who is also in medical school at Penn State) and my parents took work off as well. I got to see my cousin Brooke and her two little boys, my Aunt Karen and Uncle Craig, Aunt Mary and Uncle Jon, and the whole Mumford clan when we went to Weston Idaho for Becki's baby shower. We were able to drive through Logan on the way up to Weston so I got to see our old crappy apartment (with tender yet angry feelings) and our best friends the Humpherys! We got to reunite Emerson with his girlfriend Sadie. It made me realize how much I miss good ole' Logan.
Our other activities included Frightmares at Lagoon, Ikea, eating at Cafe Rio and Five Guys, going shopping, watching movies, getting E's 6 month immunizations, and allowing everyone to fuss over Emerson. :) It was such a great trip that it was hard to leave! Thank you so much for the fun time dearest family! I missed Ben a ton though and I think he even missed us a little...so it was good to come back to Columbus.

We had so much fun with you! I have one question though. Who is the blind woman with the strange expression on her face at Lagoon? Lol--I didn't realize I was in the picture at the time. I thought you were just taking it of Grandpa J and little E!
It was so much fun to get to see you and also Emerson along with his drool!! :) J/K. He is so dang cute, and yes I did have to squish him a bit. Oh, the blind woman in the Lagoon picture must be a relative of the serious looking big-eyed dwarf girl in the picture with the big bread. I mean no offense, I have many pictures over the years looking rather, should I say....odd, and I hope they never surface.
It was so good to see you! I wish we could get together more! Maybe I should "surface" some of those "odd"pictures of Grandma G!! hehe!
Gosh mom, I don't know who that blind woman is...but it's hilarious because it looks like the stroller handle is a cane that you...i mean she is holding. :)
I loved it how you guys got to come back to good ole' Murray! Please hurry Christmas as long as you can!
So much fun! I can:y wait to get home!
It was SO much fun to see you guys. Emerson is SO SO cute. I love that he and Sadie have a "long-distance" relationship. I just noticed she looks like a little ragamuffin in the pictures of the two of them while Emerson looks like he walked out of a Baby Gap ad... hmmm.
Anyways, tell Ben hi for us! We're counting down the days until you're here for Christmas! :)
Sorry you had to come (over a funeral), but it was nice to see you guys! Little E's just as cute as can be!!
Hey did you know that Carson is from Weston, ID? His parents still live there and we go there just about once a week. How lucky are you that you got to go there!
Fine. Grace didn't want to be Emerson's girlfriend anyways. hmmmph...
I'm glad seeing me was one of the highlights of coming home, even if you forgot to write my name in the blog. JK it was great seeing you, the sicky, and little Emerson. I can't believe how big Em is. I bet he had fun in his tootsie roll yesterday. Can't wait to see you guys again!
